#URT · The Universal Rating Tool

What's your actual level?

A rating after every point. One number placed over all your games, with its margin, on the scale you already know. Not who you say you are. Who you played like.

How it works

Three steps. No one filming.

  1. Place the camera anywhere behind the baseline.

Any iPhone, any tripod or fence mount. Spintip finds the court itself.

  2. Press start and play.

Points are cut while you play. Your level updates after each one. Sage speaks between them.

  3. Press stop. Walk off rated.

The gallery is finished when you are: every point, your level on each, the whole game on one graph.

Per point · per game · placed

A number, not a feeling.

Pulse is your level on each point, live. Level is the game. Your rating is placed over all your games, with a margin that shrinks as the games add up. Doubles is rated as a team.

HintYour first five games build your baseline. After that, every session is read against it: above, on it, or below, and by how much.

The scales

One rating. Every scale you know.

Spintip rates your points on its own scale, Pulse. Switch the label to the scale your club, league or app uses, and the same rating shows as a band with its margin. No official cross-system table exists, so Spintip never claims a single number on another scale.

ScaleSportWhat you seeWho issues it

Hint · Spintip does not issue NTRP, UTR or DUPR ratings and does not replace them. It shows how you played, on the scale you think in, so the number in your head and the number on the court finally meet.
A shared point with the tracer, 60 mph, and the level on the shot
On the clip

The ball, drawn on the ball.

Every point replays with the tracer on the ball, the speed of the shot, and your level on it. Keep them on when you share, or turn each off. The clip carries the Spintip mark.

  • Tracer: the ball's flight, rebuilt in 3D from one camera.
  • Speed per shot, level per shot, on by default.
  • Sage's line and your coach's note, when you want them on the clip.

Questions

Does Spintip give me my UTR?

No. Only UTR issues UTR. Spintip shows your Spintip rating as a band on the UTR scale, with its margin, so you can read it in the scale you know.

How many games until I am placed?

A few. The margin is wide after one game and narrows with each one. The app says "placed" and how many games it stands on.

What if the camera is in a strange place?

Anywhere behind the baseline works, phone height or fence height. Spintip calibrates to the court lines it sees and tells you when it is ready.

Is this accurate?

It is measured, from every shot of every point, and it comes with its margin. Spintip uses AI and can make mistakes; the margin is the honest part of the number.
